Enjoy Life Each Day

Today I found out that a friend of mine passed away while on vacation with his wife doing what helped him enjoy life, riding his Harley. Tim was a kind person and I feel a loss for what his family must be going through.

Tim was a bit older than me, but not by much. I saw him almost every morning at the gym where we both work out – there’s a bit of irony in that for me. This probably causes me to consider my own mortality a bit more acutely than is comfortable.

There was a time in my career where I was looking for an opportunity and Tim was there to lend a hand. That’s how he struck me, always willing to help whether it was with action, a kind word of encouragement or just his big smile.

I’m going to miss seeing Tim in the morning and my hope is that he is enjoying his time now with The Lord. I pray for those that are left behind.

God speed, Mr. Hahn. God Speed.

You are what you reach for.
